For this challenge, I decided to go for a Haïku. This form of Japanese poem has a lot of rules but from what I gathered some of the rules are :
- having verses in a 5,7,5 pattern
- having a seasonal element
- a cutting word “Kireji” in the second verse (it has no equivalent in English son punctuation is acceptable)
One of the most famous Haïkus :
furu ike ya
mizu no oto
frog leaps in
My attempt with the word “Wave” included:
Seagulls fly over
waves of troubled water,
snow falls on Esja
